What's new - April 2021

NEW OPENING HOURS

From 1st May 2021, the Institute will be open Monday to Friday 10am - 7pm. Consultations and treatments are by appointment only to enable social distancing.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON COVID-19

To ensure the safety of our patients and staff during the pandemic, the Institute has implemented social distancing and infection control measures in line with government guidance. Consultations and treatments are now by appointment only. Appointments are made in one hour sessions. Practitioners will only see one patient at a time during that hour. Staff are required to wear personal protective equipment and follow infection control guidelines including hand-washing. Patients will be encouraged to wash their hands and wear masks. Disposable masks, hand gel and handwashing facilities will be made freely available.

RECENT HEALTH SEMINARS

The Institute runs a series free of seminars on a variety of medical conditions. If you are interested in practical suggestions on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, diet and essential exercise, these seminars will interest you. You will also learn the basis of your problems in Traditional Chinese Medicine and how this relates to conventional understanding of these conditions.

Previous seminars include Health Qigong: its principles and how it can be used to maintain health.  It was led by Professor Cai Qin Zhang.

Also, a workshop on Advanced Acupuncture Needling Techniques was held.  It was taught by Professor Y.H. Shan, an acupuncture consultant from the Shanghai TCM Hospital and secretary of the Shanghai Acupuncture Council.
